Commander of Task Force Yonif 407/PK, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Hermawan Setya Budi stated that the armed group's attack on the TNI post in Aroba, Teluk Bintuni, West Papua, occurred on Friday (22/9/2023) at around 19:00-19:25 WIT. The attack involved eight gunshots, carried out in two separate assaults.
