Police personnel in Merauke reportedly arrested a West Papuan who was demonstrating in front of the Kerahiman Ilahi Church, Merauke, on 7 December 2025. The man had been demonstrating for the fourth time, voicing his protest against the Bishop of Merauke, who often made statements supporting the National Strategic Project (PSN) in Merauke.
