On 22 March 2025, military members were arbitrarily arrested Abral Wandikbo at his home in Yuguru Village when he was caring his ill father. Wandikbo was interrogated at gunpoint and handcuffed; forced to give information about the supposed hide-outs area of TPNPB. Brought to Yuguru Airstrip, he refused to give the information and got tortured. His body was dumped and found three days later, 25 March 2025, near a gardening area, 200 meters from military post.
Arabal Wandikbo was an indigenous resident of Yuguru Village, Nduga Regency, an area declared by TPNPB as a safe zone for IDPs and called on Indonesia military to stay away.
