Additional description

Nabire police reportedly arrested a KNPB activist, Deki Widigipa, on the afternoon of 31 July 2025. The police claimed that Deki was involved in robbery and motor vehicle theft, but his family denied this.

He was released after being interrogated for three days. It was reported that during his arrest and detention, he was beaten and intimidated.
