Joint security forces arrested Yamison Murib in Gome, Puncak Regency. He was arrested for his alleged involvement in the shooting of motorcycle taxi driver Udin (14/04/2021), the burning of a cellular tower (03/01/2021), the burning of a helicopter at Aminggaru airport (11/04/2021), and the shooting of members of the Nemangkawi Task Force (27/04/2021).
At trial, the prosecutor demanded that Murib be sentenced to 6 years in prison. On 29 September 2023, the district court judge sentenced Murib to the prosecutor's demand. Murib appealed the verdict, but at the Court of Appeal, Murib's sentence was increased to 10 years' imprisonment.
On 8 May 2025, Yamison reportedly escaped with two other prisoners from Nabire Prison.
