Additional description

Police personnel reportedly arrested Hombim Sobolim in Dekai, Yahukimo, on 11 July 2025. He is alleged to have been involved in an attack that killed a teacher on 21-22 March 2025 in Anggruk District, Yahukimo.

On 14 October 2025, his case file was submitted by the police to the Wamena District Attorney's Office. As of the end of December 2025, his case was still being processed in court.

On 28 April 2026, the panel of judges at the Wamena District Court ruled that Hombim was acquitted of all charges. Previously, the prosecutor had sought a guilty verdict and a 15-year prison sentence for the defendant.
