Jayapura Resort Police personnel and the Sentani Airport Security Unit dispersed a spontaneous demonstration by a group of activists near Sentani Airport, Jayapura, on 12 August 2025. The activists wanted to protest to the Minister of Home Affairs, who arrived at the airport that morning, over the re-run of the Papua gubernatorial election, which they considered to be rife with fraud.

During the violent dispersal, an activist named Panji Agung Mangkunegoro was arrested at the KP3 Airport Office.
