Indonesian military personnel from Task Force Yonif 732/Banau arbitrarily arrested Iyan Wandagau, Maikel Uamang, Julian Wandagau, Oten Kum, and Eten Uamang in Jambul Village, West Beoga District, Puncak Regency, on 4 January 2026. They were arrested whilst returning from church, accused of being affiliated with the TPNPB on the basis of clothing bearing the Morning Star emblem and political content on social media. They were released on the same day after being forced to sing the national anthem and swear allegiance to Indonesia. The mainstream media reported that they had surrendered voluntarily.
