Indonesian military personnel reportedly tortured and intimidated a young man named Nonis Bahabol in the Tomon 2 area, Dekai City, Yahukimo Regency, on 24 January 2026. A number of TNI members forced their way into Nonis's house without a warrant, then dragged Nonis outside. Nonis was forced to provide information about the whereabouts of TPNPB members. To obtain this information, TNI personnel beat him repeatedly, including with rifle butts. Nonis was left lying there, injured.
