- Additional description
Joint forces arrested Edison Giban for his alleged involvement in the shooting down of a commercial aircraft at Nop Goliat Airport on 11 March 2023.
During the trial, it was revealed that Giban did not take part in the shooting and did not even plan the action.
Prosecutors demanded that Giban be sentenced to 5 years in prison.
With the conditional release policy granted to prisoners who have served two-thirds of their sentence, Edison should have been released from prison in mid-July 2025, or even earlier if he received several remissions.
