Joint security forces raided two houses in Dekai, Yahukimo, and arrested at least 22 people. Those arrested included high school students, university students, and village heads. They were accused of being part of and sympathising with an armed group. Police claimed to have confiscated sharp weapons and air rifles from the scene.
