Police personnel from the Satgas Damai Cartenz reportedly arrested a suspected TPNPB member, Iyogtogi Telenggen, at Nop Goliat Airport, Yahukimo Regency, 3 February 2025. After being arrested at the airport, he was immediately taken to the Yaukimo Police headquarters.
On 4 July 2025, the case was registered at the Wamena District Court under the classification of “crimes against life”.
On 6 November 2025, the panel of judges found the defendant guilty and sentenced him to eight years in prison, almost half of what the prosecutor had demanded. The prosecutor appealed the verdict.
On 21 January 2026, the panel of judges at the Jayapura High Court decided to uphold the previous ruling.
