Yulian Uropmabin (36) and Kapol Uropmabin(42) were arrested 8th September 2021 by the members of Koramil 1715-05/Batom forces in Oksibil, Pegunungan Bintang. According to statement by the Indonesian military, they were captured while on a boat which contained 5 pieces of firearms. While the report from TPNPB stated that they were in possession of five M16 riffles, one box of ammunition, one Morning Star flag, one KANEKI flag among other things. The two were detained at the Koramil Post in Batom.
Prosecutors demanded that the defendants be sentenced to 4 years in prison.
