Personel Satgas Damai Cartenz personnel arrested a former TNI soldier, Yuni Enumbi alias Yuni Masok, at KM 76, Keerom District, Papua Province, 6 March 2025. Yuni is alleged to be a supplier of weapons and ammunition to pro-independence armed groups in Puncak Jaya Regency. Police claimed to have confiscated two SS1 rifles, four pistols, four SS1 magazines, five pistol magazines, 600 rounds of 5.56mm/5TJ calibre ammunition, and 250 rounds of 9mm calibre ammunition. In addition, police also confiscated bags, ATM cards, and money worth IDR 369.9 million.
In addition to arresting Enumbi, the police claimed to have arrested a number of other people from both civilians and active military personnel in Java who were involved in this case.
The case began to be heard at the Jayapura District Court in early June 2025. On 9 October, the judge found Yuni guilty and sentenced him to seven years in prison.
