MS is a junior high school student who was arrested by the police on 5 September 2021. MS was accused by the police as one of the actors in the killing of four members of the Indonesian army in Maybrat. MS was transfered to Makasar to the custody of South Sulawesi Regional Police along with Amos Ky, Maikel Yaam, Agustinus Yaam, RY and YW on 29th of December. The transfer was done without informing their lawyers and families leaving MS along with RY and YW no means to having family accompaniment.
The Sorong Six's case were heard at Makasar District Court with legal assistance from LBH Kaki Abu and LBH Makassar. On 31 May 2022 MS, YW and Agustinus Yaam were sentenced to 18 years imprisonment, prosecutors demanded 20 years. Both the prosecutor and the defendants appealed to the high court. However, the high court decided to uphold the previous verdict. The prosecutor appealed again to the Supreme Court, but the appeal was withdrawn on 5 September 2022.
