Jayapura City police arrested four students during a demonstration in front of the main gate of Cenderawasih University, Jayapura, on 30 September 2025. The students, who were members of Solidaritas Peduli Uncen (Uncen Solidarity), were commemorating the 63rd anniversary of the Rome Agreement.

Before arresting them, the police forcibly dispersed the demonstration. According to activists from the Papua Legal Aid Foundation who accompanied them, they were named as suspects for allegedly disobeying orders from officers. Despite being suspects, they were not detained but were required to report to the police.
