Alfius Wenda also Alpius Wenda was arrested on 11 March 2022 with 101 other protest participants in front of the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. The Indonesian police arrested hundreds protesters during a dispersal of the protest. All protest participants were released except for Alfius Wenda who is being detained and accused of hitting the Chief of Police Intelligence Unit from Metro Jakarta Pusat police in the head. Reports have said that there were six other protest participants who reportedly were injured by police actions that day however the police denied using force during the forced dispersal.

The public prosecutors sought a year's imprisonment for Alfius. He was charged and serving a 7 months sentence in prison at Salemba Prison Jakarta. On 13 October Alfius was released.
