Security forces arrested Yohanes Sondegau, alias John, on 7 June 2022 in Kampung Wandoga, Intan Jaya. Yohanes was suspected of being involved in the sale of ammunition as an intermediary between TNI personnel who sold to members of armed groups who bought it.

At the trial, the judge found Sondegau guilty and sentenced him to one year and six months in prison.
