Additional description

Satgas Damai Cartenz reportedly arrested a alleged arms supplier to armed groups in Nabire, Otto Burdam, in Manokwari, 23 October 2024.

When arrested, Otto was said to be in possession of 30 rounds of 6.5x50 mm calibre ammunition and 40 rounds of 7.62x63 mm calibre ammunition.

He was tried at the Manokwari District Court, found guilty and sentenced to 10 years in prison. This sentence was higher than what the prosecutor had requested. The prosecutor had requested that Otto be sentenced to two years in prison.

He also did testify at the trial of Mozes Rumbrapuk. In his testimony, he admitted to having traded weapons and ammunition with Mozes.
