According to the Nabire District Court's verdict, Daud Ayok was on 30 September 2025 in Manokwari. He was arrested on allegations of selling ammunition purchased by Yakobus Waine via Yermias Saroi.

The Nabire District Court found Daud guilty and sentenced him to seven years in prison, eight years less than the prosecutor's request. The prosecutor appealed to the Jayapura High Court, which then increased his sentence to 8 years on 30 September 2025. The prosecutor again appealed the Jayapura High Court's decision to the Supreme Court. On 4 December, the Supreme Court's panel of judges rejected the prosecutor's appeal and upheld the previous decision.
