Additional description

Manokwari police personnel block a demonstration by University of Papua students and arrest two demonstrators, Naikus Alua and Bona Siep, at the main gate of Unipa, 10 April 2025.

The student demonstration called for rejection of the revision of the TNI Law and national strategic projects in Papua. Despite blockades and clashes, the demonstration continued and the students managed to convey their aspirations to the MRP of Papua Barat.

The two students who were arrested were later released, but with injuries to their faces.
