The authorities accuse Ms Mandabayan for treason on the basis of the 1,496 small Morning Star flags found within her handbag. Kemudian dia dituntut jatuhi hukuman pidana penjara selama 10 bulan oleh jaksa penuntut umum. Dikurangi selama terdakwa berada didalam tahanan, dengan perintah agar terdakwa tetap ditahan di rumah tahanan negara.
