Jayapura Regency police officers blocked and arrested dozens of protesters who rejected the dialogue initiated by Komnas HAM and demanded a visit to West Papua by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. At least 18 people who were taken to Jayapura police station were released at 9pm local time after being questioned by police and accompanied by a coalition of human rights lawyers.
