Satgas Damai Cartenz personnel arrested an elderly man allegedly supplying ammunition to Jemmy Magai Yogi on Saturday, 19 October 2024, in Nabire, Central Papua. Along with the arrest, police claim to have seized a number of pieces of evidence, including: 37 5.56-millimetre calibre bullets, 18 38-millimetre calibre bullets, 33 air rifle bullets, as well as rupiah, ringgit, qatar rial, won and peso cash.

On 24 January 2025, the case was tried at Nabire District Court. On 13 June, a panel of judges found the defendant guilty and sentenced him to 10 years in prison, two years less than the prosecutor's request.
