Satgas Damai Cartenz 2025 arbitrarily arrested Yantis Murib a.k.a Nosin Murib in Sentani, Jayapura Regency, 31 January 2025. The arrest was made because Yantis was allegedly involved in the shooting of a civilian in Ilaga in 2024.
On 8 May 2025, the case was registered at Nabire District Court with the case classification of firearms or sharp objects.
On 2 June 2025, Yantis reportedly escaped from Nabire Prison with 19 other prisoners, 11 of whom including Yantis were said to be affiliated with armed groups.
