The Cartenz Peace Task Force arrested Tipigau and six others in Mimika Regency on 5 February 2022. Tipigau was accused of being involved in the shooting of Jainudin, 05/08/2020; the shooting of the Papuan Deputy Chief of Police's entourage, 25/09/2020; the shooting of Sugapa Police Station, Intan Jaya, 30/09/2021; the burning of a resident's kiosk, 30/10/2021; the shooting of a resident, 08/02/2021.

The case charged by the public prosecutors was the burning of the kiosk in October 2021. The prosecutors sought a three-year prison sentence for Tipigau.
