Police and army personnel in Nabire forcibly dispersed and arrested demonstrators rejecting the transmigration programme, 15 November 2024. It was recorded that the police arrested 15 demonstrators and they were only released in the afternoon, after the legal aid team, tribal chiefs, and the Central Papuan People's Council negotiated with the police.

Using excessive force, security forces dispersed demonstrators, who are part of the Papuan People's Front Against Transmigration, at four gathering points by firing bullets and tear gas. They also confiscated a number of items such as a car, generator, megaphone, motorbikes, speakers, mobile phones and a camera.

At least four people were injured by the tear gas.
