Jayapura City Police arrested Buchtar Tabuni, Bazoka Logo, Yohanis Wandikbo, Jekson Wakerkwa, Kibo Telenggen, Lawe Wandikbo, and Gilbert Kogoya, for assaulting officers. The attack in the form of beatings was carried out by Buchtar's group because the police recorded videos of activities at Buchtar's house without permission. Initially a meeting was to be held at the house, but the police arrived and asked for the meeting to be stopped.

Buchtar and his colleagues were released after being questioned by police for 8 hours.
