Amos Ky (20) is a junior high school student who was named suspect on 10th of September by POLDA Papua in relation to the attack at District Military Post Kisor which killed 4 members of the Indonesian army. Amos Ky was arrested on 28 September and was detained at Polres Sorong Selatan. On 29th of December Amos Ky was transfer outside of West Papua to Makassar along with Maikel Yaam, Agustinus Yaam, MS, RY and YW. Their case is known by "Sorong Six". Sorong Six were initially represented by LBH Kaki Abu (Kaki Abu Legal Aid Institute). Lawyers were not informed when the Sorong Six detainees were transfered to Makassar. Families of the detainees were also not informed of the transfer with the families of the minors expressed their concerns to the legal council regarding the transfer of their children. In order to accompany the trial process in Makassar, LBH Kaki Abu formed coalition with LBH Makassar to provide legal accompaniment of the Sorong Six.

On 27th and 28th of March three defendants Amos Ky, RY and Maikel Yaam were visited by the police investigators during the course of the trial. The legal counsel later found out that the defendants were asked to change their testimony/confession with the promise that they will be returned to Papua if they did so. During trial on the next day, the three defendants confessed that they are guilty of the charges.

Amos Ky was sentenced to 20 years along with RY and Maikel Yaam on 31st of May 2022. Amos Ky is currently serving sentence in Makassar jail.
