Police and army personnel in Nabire forcibly dispersed and arrested demonstrators rejecting the transmigration programme, 15 November 2024. It was recorded that the police arrested 15 demonstrators and they were only released in the afternoon.

Using excessive force, security forces dispersed demonstrators at four gathering points by firing bullets and tear gas. They also confiscated a number of items such as a car, generator, megaphone, motorbikes, speakers, mobile phones and a camera.
