Eight Papuan GempaR activists were arrested during a book stall at the Cendrawasih University Museum in September. The head of the museum said he had not received the necessary permits to hold the stall, although the head of GempaR Papua said that permits were not needed, and that all they were doing was providing a service to the community through their books.
