Joint security forces consisting of police and soldiers dispersed and arrested dozens of FMRPAM demonstrators who were protesting at the Sentani intersection, 2 April 2024. The demonstrators wanted to express their protest against the escalation of military operations by Indonesian security forces in a number of areas in the mountains of Papua.

They were all released after their identities were recorded. At least two people were injured as a result of excessive force by the authorities during the dispersal.
