A number of South Sorong police personnel ganged up on and arrested three Papuans (Yampit Kondororik, Eren Skoviai, Lukas Daniel Kombado) in Kajase Market, Sorong Selatan Regency, Papua Barat Daya Province, early morning, 9 May 2025.

The incident began with a policeman who did not accept being asked for parking money by one of the victims, after shopping at a supermarket. The police officer went to call his friends. They beat the three Papuans and took them to the Sorong Selatan police station.

The three were released at 11am on the same day.
