On 17 October 2022, residents of Kampung Ekspo-Kampwolker, Jayapura reported three ULMWP separatist frontmen, namely Buchtar Tabuni, Iche Murib, and Bazoka Logo to Jayapura Police for always creating unrest through a treasonous agenda that has the potential to heat up the conflict in Independent Papua. On that occasion, they were interrogated by the police for their activities of gathering people, mainly because, according to the Jayapura city police chief, they "oppose the state ideology".
