- Deskripsi tambahan
Indonesian Marine personnel arbitrarily arrested two KNPB activists, Yuni Suhun and Eliaton Wetapo, whilst they were on their way to the river to pan for gold.
They were stopped at a Marine checkpoint in Kokamo Village and detained at the post. While detained for two days, military personnel tortured Yuni and Eliaton (by blindfolding them, tying their hands behind their backs, and beating their heads with their hands and blunt objects) after discovering a video related to KNPB on their mobile phones.
On 25 March 2026, they attended a ceremony to pledge allegiance and were forced to kiss the Indonesian flag; they were then released at around 11.20 am local time.
